Lost in Emotion ><’

August 23rd, 2007

It started small and it started slow, it builds up and starts to opening up, it welcomes almost everything and hungers more of them, all that was taken were processed and digested, how can i not know until everything overload? or did i allow it to happen??

Besides 1.. all the others happened so long ago.. hiding somewhere all along and exploded like a time bomb.. all at once..

Feel like getting out and be myself once again… back to my nutshell hiding from the invasion of that something which i dunno if it’s good or bad.. positive or negative.. happy or sad.. pleasurable or hurtful..

or

Maybe i chosen not to get hurt so i dunno watz pleasurable.. i dun wanna feel sad so i never been happy.. i reject the negatives with the positives unknowingly.. how can there be good when there’s no bad?

Floating in the middle of the ocean, all cold and dark with no directions.

Eagles and Chickens

July 24th, 2007

Once upon a time, on top of a faraway mountain, there live Eagles. They fly freely and soar above storms. 1 day, a yet to hatch Eagle egg fell off it’s nest and landed into a chicken’s nest in the valley. The egg then hatched into a small eagle. Because the eagle grew up with chickens, he always thought he was a chicken. The chickens were taught to eat worms and runaway from snake, the young eagle followed. After many years has passed, the eagle has already became a “chicken” but he couldn’t help but to wonder why there are birds living on top of mountain and can fly freely. So 1 day, he asked a chicken fren. “Hey, wanna try flying like the eagles?”
Then the fren replied “Although u may look like an eagle… but we are juz chickens….. and chickens can’t fly…. we feed on worms….”
The young eagle got very upset and he wondered if he will ever be able to fly in his life time. After much considerations, he decided to give it a shot, so on a cool evening, he climbed up to the side of a tall mountain and try to fly. Because he havent been flying all his life, the eagle is unable to control his wings properly and kept falling off the side of the mountain. With wounded wings, he returned to the chickens and the chickens laughed at him. He hasnt give up yet, and he ask his chicken fren again. “Hey, why can’t we fly freely like the eagles?”
Then the fren replied “We are chickens…. we are scared of snakes and we eat watever that’s left on the ground.. remember?”
The young eagle got more upset, but he is still unwilling to give up. He then climbed the mountain again after his wounds are healed and after much attempt, he finally succeeded to fly. He met up with some of his Eagle frens and they together soar above the chickens and they feed on snakes.

Nobody can influence you on who you are, but everybody can influence you on who you think you are. - If you allow them!

FD2R vs FN2R

July 8th, 2007

It’s a tough choice between these 2 cars. Both are civic type R, 1 euro while the other JDM. Being JDM, the japanese mod everything towards performance and leave the car looking just like another civic. The euro civic looks a lot better but lose to the JDM in terms of performance.

What attract me on the JDM is it’s 225bhp engine, Brembo brakes, and price at 100k. What turns me off is the boring interior(especially dashboard), plain exterior which look just like another civic sedan and the fact that the car is still with 4 doors, they didnt bother to reduce the car into a coupe.

Comparing with the Euro civic, it doesnt look very exciting on the outside, but it’s atleast a 2 door hatch. 2 door hatch seems to be the way to go for the past civic type R as EP3 and EK9 are reduced from 4 doors. The interior’s astonishing! Very well done and even the tach meter looks so special. Nice glowing dials fill the dash and controls feel so futuristic. The VSA system which enable individual wheel braking has yet to be tested but is cool to try on track days. The sad part comes later, the car is about 80kg heavier than the JDM, it comes with cheapo brakes, has a 201bhp engine and cost 106k.

So, which will you choose?

Savings with banks in SG

June 28th, 2007

Was talking to a friend just now and found out that he save every month but the money juz sit in the bank which give less than 1% interest a year! He was saying, he save $200/mth juz to leave it in bank and now has a few thousands already. He intend to save up to 5k and leave it in fix deposit to let the money grow. But! That’s too slow and money is depreciating! Inflation rate is about 2% and if you earn 1.5% a year through bank fix deposit rate, you are still depreciating your money!

Fix deposit is risk free but has too little interest, even very low risk investment can beat the interest from banks! Alternatively, there are many other channels and instrument to make money work harder with 0% risk engagement.

SGX vs Prudential

June 19th, 2007

Just collected my certificate from Shufen, yay!!~~~ I’ve officially completed the course in SGX (Singapore Exchange).  The SGX Futures Apprenticeship Programme is a course which allow people who have no finance background to get a feel of the finance sector in Singapore. We get to know more about trading of securities(shares), futures and eventually will be given a chance to step into the finance sector to service the industry. I’ve enjoyed myself and had a great eye opener over the weeks of training, from seeing how people could sit infront of the monitor with 150 heart beats per min to people who win or lose thousands a day.

The moment of decision. At the last week of my programme, i was given an offer to work for Phillips Capital as a broker cum network specialist. I couldn’t make any decision because i was considering the other choice as well - Prudential. And these choices may change my life from the moment i rest my heart on it. Both choices help service clients, both is in the financial sector, both is strict but interesting. And after fighting for sometime, i decided to join Prudential as a Financial Advisor.

I know SGX can earn lots of money and there’s prospect in the industry, but what i do everyday will be to look at money, learn how to earn money, how to expand money, very cold blooded industry with just money and money. My clients have to be rich and i will have to make them even richer. My world will revolve around something which is called to be the most “important” thing in the world. So cold blooded and practical.

In contrast with prudential, i will have the opportunity to help people around me see their needs which they have been ignoring or avoiding. I can still help people invest, plan, manage and protect their money, what’s more? Even their future! There’s a human touch in the job, and people around me can benefit from me as i extent my service to them. I can provide a way for those who want to enjoy a more stable life and help stretch every remaining dollar to it’s maximum. It’s a more fruitful and also more responsible job in my opinion because the job isn’t about earning money only.

Deep Pictures

June 12th, 2007

People say, picture paints a thousand words. And that is maybe the reason why i love to take photographs. Some of them brings you back to the place you’ve been, some brings back the emotions you were feeling then and some capture the moment which you will never have again in your lifetime.

I notice there’s a pattern on how pictures catch my attention, when they do, they not only capture my attention, they also captivate my emotions. Because the nicest picture i can find are those which are related to me. Related to how I feel most of the time. Related to the emotions i hide inside me…
